Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Alpha Psi Lambda has grown and evolved through the help of volunteers and the Fraternity's ongoing success depends on volunteer contributions.

There are different opportunities available depending on the time you have to commit, your skills and what you are interested in. If you are interested in volunteering please use this application to apply for all positions:  National Volunteer Application  (must be registered on GreekTrack to submit, applications are valid for three years). 

All volunteers must be active dues paying alumni ($40 annually).

NEB, National Committee, Regional Boards, and Standards Board applicants must be Alumni.
Committees and Assistant roles are open to both Alumni and At Large members.

National Executive Board (NEB)

The NEB is the overall administrative body for the Fraternity and has a variety of responsibilities including: support and grow collegiate Chapters; promote Alumni Associations and networking, enforce Fraternity policy and procedure. The NEB is comprised of 9 alumni that serve two year terms.  These positions are elected at the National House of Delegates in June or appointed by the NEB in cases of vacancy.

Election Rotation

  • Even calendar years:
    • National President
    • Vice President of Administration
    • Vice President of Standards and Policy
    • Vice President of Expansion
    • Vice President of Alumni Affairs
  • Odd calendar years:
    • Executive Vice President
    • Vice President of Finance
    • Vice President of Collegiate Affairs
    • Vice President of Marketing

2025 Nominations Schedule

  • Nominations, including self nominations, must be submitted by national dues paying members via the NHOD National Executive Board Nomination Form (must be registered on GreekTrack to submit).
  • Nominations are due by Thursday, February 26, 2025 (100 days before NHOD).
  • Notices of nominations sent to nominees on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 (95 days before NHOD).
  • Nominees respond to nomination by Sunday, March 8, 2026 (90 days before NHOD).
  • If accepted, candidates must submit required documentation by Wednesday, March 18, 2026 (80 days from NHOD).
  • Delegate Packets will be finalized and distributed by Monday, March 23, 2026 (75 days from NHOD).
  • June 6, 2026 election results will be annouced at the National House of Delegates.

All candidates are required to submit a volunteer application and a resume.

National Committee

The National Committee positions focus on a variety of areas to support Fraternity Operations such as Programming, Membership Intake, Risk Prevention and others. These positions report to the Executive Vice President while working with other National Executive Board officers based on function.

Appointments
The National Executive Board is responsible for appointing these positions. 

Regional Boards (Includes Chapter Directors)

Regional Boards are comprised of Regional Directors, Chapter Directors and other positions the National Executive Board deems necessary to support collegiate chapters.

Appointments
The Executive Vice President is responsible for appointing these positions. Active chapters will have the opportunity to approve their Chapter Director appointments.

Standards Board
The purpose of the Standards Board is to ensure membership adherence and compliance to the Fraternity’s Policy and Procedure Manual. The Standards Board will inquire, collect and compile all necessary information that is crucial for the inquiry or investigation and then based on the information make an educated and informed recommendation of a verdict and sanction, if applicable, to the NEB.

Each Standards Board member shall receive a term of two years. Higher Ed, Law, Criminal Justice backgrounds desired. 

Qualifications

  • Must be in good standing with their Chapter and the Fraternity
  • Must have served at least one year of activeness at a Chapter
  • Must have been out of college for at least four years (applies to undergraduate and graduate/professional school applicants who were active with a Chapter during graduate school)
  • A candidate with a degree or relevant experience is preferred
  • Members At-Large may be considered

Expansion Committees
Expansion Committees are appointed for new campuses and re-established chapters. All alumni and at large members in good standing may apply. To be considered eligible, you must complete the Alumni Expansion Volunteer Request
