Fraternity Leadership

The National Office is comprised of the National Executive Board, the National Committee and Regional Boards. General information, requests, etc. can be emailed to the National Office at nationaloffice@alphapsilambda.org or submitted through the Contact Us page.

For emergency situations, if any individual is in danger or injured, please call 9-1-1 or your local authorities.

For other emergency situations not involving injuries or a threat to life, please contact your Chapter Director or the National President, Michelle Maday.

National Executive Board

The National Executive Board serves as the main administrative body of Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc. These officers are responsible for the overall management of the Fraternity and provides services that include: support and expansion of collegiate Chapters; training and development of membership; building of alumni networks and fostering relationships with Universities and the Fraternity/Sorority community.

Michelle has been volunteering with the National Office since 1999 in various capacities. She has previously served the National Office as an Expansion Committee Member, Chapter Director, Executive Vice President (formerly Vice President), Vice President of Expansion and National President (2007-2018).

Michelle received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language & Literature from Northern Illinois University in 1997. She currently works as a Director of Program Test Management in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Gil Barrera Jr

Gil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Child Advocacy from Northeastern Illinois University, with a strong commitment to supporting at-risk youth and families through education and social services. His professional journey has been rooted in creating impactful enrichment programs, particularly before and after school, that foster growth, stability, and opportunity for underserved communities.Since 2013, Gil has been deeply involved with Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc. He served as Vice President of Expansion from 2016 to 2018 and contributed to the successful launch of the Alpha Xi, Alpha Psi, and Beta Beta chapters as a member of three expansion committees. Throughout his time as a national volunteer, he also held several key roles, including Associate Member Educator (AME), Parent, Chapter Director, and AME Coach—demonstrating his dedication to mentorship, leadership development, and organizational growth.

Princesa has served as the Expansion committee for Psi Chapter (2013) and as Psi’s chapter Director 2013-2015. She also served on the Expansion committee for revitalization of Theta (2022) and served as their Chapter Director (2022-23).
 
She received her Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting from the a University of Cincinnati in 2011. She currently works as an Accountant for Nucor Logistics Group in Cincinnati, OH.

Annalisa (Lisa) Torres Aquino

Lisa's journey as a  national volunteer began in 2018. Prior to her current role as Vice President of Administration, she served for several years as a Chapter Director before being appointed Regional Director for Region 3. Lisa also had the honor of serving two terms on the National Executive Board as Vice President of Collegiate Affairs, where she worked closely with collegiate chapters and chapter directors to strengthen leadership development, member engagement, and organizational success.

Professionally, Lisa began her undergraduate studies at Ohio University before transferring to Cleveland State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science. Lisa continued her education at Cleveland State, earning a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Currently, Lisa serves as the Director of Rehabilitative Services for a healthcare organization in Northeast Ohio, where she leads clinical operations and compliance by supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Outside of her professional and volunteer responsibilities, Lisa is actively involved in community mentoring initiatives and values spending quality time with her family.

Victor A. Jimenez brings nearly a decade of dedicated service to the fraternity. Since his crossover, Victor has exemplified leadership and commitment, serving as AME and president during his undergraduate years, and continuing his involvement as National Parliamentarian and Alpha Epsilon Chapter Director post-graduation.He earned his Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and co-founded the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Alpha Psi Lambda.

Professionally, Victor works for the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and over his career on issue-based campaigns, he has made a significant impact on the political landscape in Michigan. His experience includes onboarding, training, and managing large teams, handling complex and sensitive situations, and upholding high standards of conduct and policy adherence.

Alejandro Espitia
Beta Alpha Chapter Founder - Spring 2024

Alex Espitia is a founding member of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Psi Lambda at Georgia Southwestern State University. Since crossing, he has earned a Bachelor of Integrated Studies with concentrations in Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Leadership. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration at the University of West Georgia.
Throughout his involvement with Alpha Psi Lambda, Alex has served in several leadership roles, including Campus Advisor for the Beta Alpha Chapter, Chapter Director for the Alpha Tau Chapter, and Expansion Committee member for the University of Tennessee at Martin. He currently serves as the National Vice President of Alumni Affairs.
Professionally, Alex serves as the Coordinator of Student Activities at Georgia Southwestern State University. In this role, he works closely with the Campus Activities Board and Student Marketing Team while serving as the primary advisor for all Registered Student Organizations.

Looking ahead, Alex aspires to earn a doctorate and pursue senior leadership positions in higher education, with the goal of becoming a University President or Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

Eric Mendoza

Eric is a lifetime member of Alpha Psi Lambda and a founding member of the Alpha Pi Chapter at Bradley University. Since 2021, he has served the organization in multiple capacities, including as Chapter Director, Regional Director, and Executive Board member of the Texas Alumni Club.

Eric holds three bachelor's degrees in Entrepreneurship, Management & Business Law, and Philosophy from Bradley University and a master's in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston. Professionally, he works as a Planner in Strategy & Labor Market Intelligence at Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County (WSTC), where he collaborates with business, labor, and community stakeholders to advance workforce planning and economic development in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Luis F. Paniagua

Luis F. Paniagua is a student affairs professional at his alma mater. He earned both his Bachelor of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Marketing, and his Master of Science in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University.

Luis’ graduate thesis examined impostor syndrome among first-generation Latino/a/x students attending predominantly white institutions (PWIs) in the United States. Over the past few years, he has presented and facilitated workshops on topics including impostor syndrome, assessment in student affairs, student leadership development, and historical perspectives on Latin American higher education. His work engages both students and student affairs professionals, with a focus on fostering equity, belonging, and cultural awareness within higher education environments.

During his undergraduate experience, Luis served in multiple leadership roles within Alpha Eta, contributing to campus involvement and student development initiatives.
